Martin Luther King Junior plagurized his writings duing his work at Boston University and there is DOCUMENTED evidence that he cheated on his wife constantly with "peace groupies."
He should not make any list of great american leaders.

Well Martin Luther King was one of them, as well as people like Susan B. Anthony, etc. I would also say presidents like JFK, Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson. Then there's the big monopolists like J.P. Morgan who though not great, helped our economy with industrialization and stuff.
All this really depends on what your focus is on.
