I totally agree. I like Nick as an actor but I'm having trouble visualizing him as Ghost Rider. J.B. is supposed to have a tough persona and Nick isn't really selling it. Timing is always key, maybe if he did it right after "Gone in 60 Secs" or " Con Air" but the last thing I remember seeing him in was "National Treasure." I think I could even live with the Paul Walker comment, but this may have been a good roll for Vin Diesel. But who would go see it after "The Pacifier?" I think he assassinated his own career with that film.

Great minds think alike. Me and a friend was discussing that over lunch today. Nicholas cage is just as good of actor than any. Didn't he turn down Superman Returns to do Ghost Rider? His "Ghost Rider" action figure looks kind of wimpy. He is a hard actor to see as Ghost Rider because so many people remember him from "When Peggy Sue Got Married." Night and day difference. Plus he doesn't fit the pre-conceived character image like Hugh Jackmann (Wolverine) and what Thomas Jane did for the Punisher. I think Cage will capture the essence fans of Ghost Rider are looking for.

In watching the previews Nicolas Cage just does not deliver a good Ghost Rider look nor voice.

The part should have been cast to someone a little more rugged and in shape looking. Possible the guy from the "Transporter" movies, Jason Statham I think would have been the perfect choice.

In any case the movie comes out tomorrow and I will be watching to see what reviews come out of it.

In the Ghost Rider comics by Marvel, Johnny Blaze (Ghost Rider) was in his late 20's with reddish blond hair and blue eyes.

I love Nicolas Cage. He is a great actor and he may pull it off, but, personally I feel he was miscast. He is too old and doesn't resemble the comic book character at all.

sturdy question. mutually as Cage is a huge comedian e book fan himself, or perhaps has a Ghost Rider tatoo (no lie), i do no longer think of he's the final selection for the region, yet that's barely via fact i'm evaluating him to what Johnny Blaze appeared like interior the comedian books. that's attainable he will pull it off, whether, as I truthfully have heard a lot of advantageous buzz with reference to the action picture trailer itslef. Time will tell!

I've never read the comic. I always thought Ghost Rider/ Johnny Blaze was more of a gruff charecter.. I don't know about Nick Cage playing the charecter. He could be good in it. In my opinion he's been pretty hammy in his last few films. I wish it the best though.

True...I would of thought someone a bit younger, possibly Paul Walker...his hair looks ridiculous, especially when you see him with long hair now...weird.
