I'm afraid of becoming sick with a deadly disease that kills slowly and having to be taken care of by other people for a long time. I hope I never have to be a drain on society. I could afford to depend on someone to clean, cook pay my bills and shower me for about a week...after that, I'd be broke...what would I do???
To be dependent on today's health care and unemployment system is a scary thing. I try to save and keep health insurance, life insurance, cancer insurance and supplemental insurance of all kinds but one sudden illness and all of it could be wiped out within a year. What would I do if I got deathly sick for more than that? Where would I go, what would I do?
I'm not as afraid to die as I am of being a drain on society. I'm for compassionate choices if I'm destined to painfully die. I don't want life support and I'm in favor of euthanasia...call Dr. Kavorkian! Some things are really worse than death to me.
