I agree. It's just BS to make them feel better about themselves.

Nobody is crying foul here remix. The question is about the Democrats passing a slam dunk piece of Legislation about the war and strutting around like they have ended the war. They don't have the courage to bring a binding resolution to the floor because there is a large segment of those same Democrats that if they voted to defund the war would get tossed out of office on their ear. Its little displays like this that fill me with no hope for the foreseeable future.

And Argle Bargle, as someone who is quite a ways out on the left, I would like to hear your opinion on the matter instead of the easy cheap shot that means nothing. Are the Dems showing that they don't have the courage to do what they ran on?

I think it's the first step in the changing of the course in Iraq. It shows there are now people disagreeing with the President along with the majority of Americans. As the troops arrive in Iraq, if the only thing we keep hearing reported is bombings, tortured corpses, sectarian fighting, etc. etc. the American public will be demanding our troops come home. If nothing changes for the better, there are going to be quite a few republicans joining the democrats next resolution.

Turn about is fair play. Seems the Republican controlled congress continuously brought the minority to votes to try and define where they stood on Bush's policy; now that the shoe is on the other foot, Republicans are crying foul.

If the Democrats want to really step up and put their money where their mouths are they should vote to end funding for the war. Then we'll see who's really supporting the troops. Chickenshits.

Wrong. They want to make sure the American voter remembers the Republican vote on this war.

Non binding resolutions do have a type of moral power, indicating that that is where the consensus is going|
