Hi,

I recently bought the Barton's book which has helped me alot.

I was wondering how many words some of you learned. There is over 3500 words to learn but I've been memorizing the 333 that it suggested and ever word that I don't know in the examples of all books I have.

I don't think I get the whole 3500 words but I was wondering if what I was doing would be fine.

Any ideas?

Hi I took the GRE a little while ago. It's tough but I ended up doing okay.

There are online websites that quiz you on your vocab. I used those a lot plus it made learning more fun. I also made notecards and studied words I didn't know at all. Best thing to do though is study roots. That way if you don't know the meaning of a word you can peice it together, this helped me a lot!! Like biology (bio = life, logy = study of). Just study as much as you can and you should do fine! Oh and remember you cannot actually learn if you are just looking at the words you have to use a recall method such as notecards.
