How do I remove the apu.exe worm?

I can't believe I fell for it!! I opened up an AmericanGreetings Valentine Card and clicked on the link to get the greeting. POOF, my computer hasn't been the same since. I seem to have contracted an apu.exe worm which I cannot get rid of even with all my virus protection software. Anybody know how to delete it. I've tried several times and it keeps coming back.

HELP!!! I've never fallen for these scams before ... but I guess there is always a first time.

that one got me too -- it was either acu or apu.exe worm -- not sure what to do -- thanks for asking the question -- going to try what the guy below said
