The ANA test ( anti-nuclean antibody) is to discover if the individual has Lupus erythematosis....LE . But a positive test is not conclusive of the person having Lupus. In fact there is no singular test for that.

ANA is antinuclear antibody. It is a general test for autoimmune diseases like lupus, Thyoiditis, etc. Low is great! It is only when it is high when you need to worry.

I believe it is anti nuclear antibody and it is a marker for inflamatory diseases like arthritis and lupis as well as other diseases. I think you have to worry mostly when it is high though. /so, I'm not sure what the worry is. If if's a little low it's nothing to worry about that I am aware of. Ask the Dr. though.
