Your horse may have been abused in the past by a man or several men but if you have owned this horse for a long while I'd rule that out.
Chances are that you are misunderstanding your horses sweetheart behavior when it is really dominance. Buck may have in fact learned that he can get babied more and get away with bad behaviors when he is around women(which women do tend to baby their horses a bit more than men) and views men as a threat- just as a stallion would if another stud were to walk up to his "women."
You need to create your self as the alpha status and not let him get away with his obnoxious behavior. You may not notice it but when you or another woman is handling him and a male comes near- when he freaks out you probably move him away from the male and start to pet and soothe him to get him to calm down which Buck probably relishes. Instead of moving him away from male figures, have him move forward and reward him for good behavior and discipline him when he goes to kicking, biting, and stomping.
And as far as the kicking and biting goes- these are probably behaviors he acts towards you but not as severe that you don't discipline and he's learned that you'll let him get away with it. Start by teaching him it's not alright for him to act that way towards you and pretty soon he'll see you and other humans-even males- as his alpha and quit is temper tantrums when he's not getting what he wants.

Intensive training time! So, what you should do is the same for anything that your horse is afraid of. This is a roundpenning or arena method. Get your horse in a halter and lead rope and lead him into an arena or roundpen. Then, with some slack in your lead rope, have a man walk in as well. If your horse freaks out now, let the man leave. Once your horse is calm again, have the man enter again. Do this as many times as it takes to have your horse be completely calm when he enters. Then, have him was 3-4 steps closer, and do the same thing. He just needs to learn that men are not a threat. Also, if you have faith that he won't freak out, then he will have more confidence. Horses are extremely perceptive. email me if you have questions, i can elaborate more! azmirahrouge@yahoo.com

The most likely problem was that Buck has had a bad experience around men at one point of time in his life. One thing that you can try doing is making sure that Ryan has plenty of Buck's fave treats on hand when he approaches Buck, and give Buck plenty of treats. Horses are creatures of habit, meaning that if they do something once, they're more likely to do it again. If you take it slow with making sure that Buck has a good relationship with Ryan, Buck may get over his fear of men. Stay close to him to tell Buck that it's ok, and that you trust Ryan. Horses sense fear, and if you're afraid he will be too.

You need to get to a good trainer. It sounds like Buck need some manners. There is no excuse for a horse not to like women or men. It is a bullying tactict that he has with you and he's won the battle. Get to a trainer who can work with you both on how to stop this behavior before you, someone else or this horse gets hurt very badly.
