car crashes are the no.1 killer of teens under the age of 18. about 1000 16 yr.old kids are in fatal crashes every year.... think about it.

Yes ! I'm from Belgium and we can only drive at age 18 .
I think 16 is too young .
Driving these days is a big responsibility .
There are so many cars on the road , not like 50 years ago , when traffic was not nearly as bad as it is now .

I believe it should be higher, but 18 is better than what it is now.
It's too bad that it can't be done on an individual monitoring basis, as some people are responsible enough at younger ages, while some aren't responsible enough even at the older ages.

In Iowa, ppl can get a school liscence to drive back and forth to high school and jobs when they're 14 1/2, and it works out fine.

it should be raised to 21.
maybe by then the driver might just have grown up a little and got some sense.

18 should be the age for everything! Drinking, driving...everything. Its fair.
