LOL go for it...TRUST ME, they will get it. If you have a Super Bowl XXV hat that'd be even better. But you better have some company, you'll never know what might happen. GO GIANTS!!

RE:
If I wore a Scott Norwood jersey in Buffalo...?
The Giants (my favorite team) are playing in Buffalo this year against the Bills. I'll certainly be going. Question is, if I bought a Scott Norwood jersey and wore that, would people get the joke and know that I'm a Giants fan, or would they see me wearing a jersey of an (ex) Bill's...

A lot of people might just assume that you are a Buffalo fan. Not at all because we are stupid, but because we don't HATE on Scotty Norwood for missing a 47 yard field goal it wide right. He had many excellent seasons for the Bills, and in fact, he was our all-time leading scorer at that time (until Steve Christie earned the distinction years later). We might be obnoxious fans toward our opponents, but we are good and loyal people when it comes to our own. And Scott Norwood is our own. People in Buffalo do not vilify him. He even came back to Buffalo and became a real estate agent in the area since 2002. So I get the joke, but think it may fall pretty flat. The Giants aren't doing so well at the moment, but the Bills are. My main thing is that I would never wear the other teams jersey over proudly wearing my own team's colors/jersey. I would rather support my team to the fullest than to try to make some weak statement or joke. In my opinion, real fans focus their energy and support for their own team instead of wasting time bashing or otherwise concerning themselves with the others. But good luck to you - you will need it to stay safe.

Wear the Norwood jersey and a Giants hat. I think they'll get it. By the way, that's awesome that you want to do that.

Ask the Chargers fans who were here last year what happened to them when they started provoking the Bills fans. They got beat down in the parking lot until some big dude broke it up. I had a front row seat as we were stuck in the Ralph's parking lot for a while and the fight was like 50 feet from us.
So, don't go for the reaction. Just be a normal fan, we'll respect you if you want to root for your team, not if you want to be a jerk.

You'd be better off than wearing a Steve Bartman mask in Wrigley. Most of the fans of those two teams are to dumb to figure out your game. Go as Anna Nicole and see if they can figure out that their playoff hopes are dead.

Most will get the joke, but some might be too young to remember. Make up a funny sign to back up the jersey.
