I was watching the video "Miss Murder (Director's Cut)" by AFI, and as much as I love AFI and the music and the video, I cannot deny that I saw some similarities between the video and Hitler. What are your thoughts on this? If you think that the video is about Hitler, please explain what a "Miss Murder" has to do with it, what other similarities you saw, if you think that AFI is supporting Hitler or condemning him or just putting up an act about his point of view or whatever, etc. And, whatever you think about it, whether you believe that this idea is all nonsense or if you think that AFI is anti-semitic or whatever, what are your opinions on this video? What do you think that it is about? Here is the link: http://music.yahoo.com/ar-266964-videos--AFI

And to all of those (ugh) people that think that I believe that AFI is anti-Semitic, and that AFI is new to me, and that I know nothing about AFI or music.... I didn't say that it was like that. I wanted a friggin opinion! Not just for myself, but for others who were wondering the same thing.

really diving into an afi video or song even is way beyond the explanation of anyone except the artist. afi writes very vaugely on ideas and emostions and thats what makes the songs so passioniate and emotional. and yes in the video its a man displayed with power somewhat similar to hitler. and my take on the video is that there is this great leader/davey and the miss murder. this girl is his source of tourment and the way its translated into miss murder as far as the video goes its killing him he sees her then she disappears when she's around creepy things happen like shes coming to get him. i know afi does not condone the idea of genocide or supremacy thats not the case at all it was just bringing the idea into play. i hope this helped you in some way.

It's just a music video and that's it.
Do you think a band would go to such great lengths just to be anti-semitic? That's just stupid. AFI isn't that kind of band. They're not even political.

Most of the time, when AFI makes a video, it's got nothing to do with the outside world. Their videos are all about the music. I'm assuming you've just heard of AFI.

AFI's got nothing to do with Hitler or any of that sh*t.
They're just a band and that was just a video. If you want to see something controversial, go watch black metal videos.

Edit: Well this is my opinion. You're making it hard for people to understand what you are really saying. It'd be best if you made your point clearer.

You asked for my thoughts about what I think of your thoughts (regarding Hitler) and what Miss Murder's got to do with it and I answered that.

If you people knew anything about the take over. There are many lines referring to what Hitler promised his people. The three hares represents why hitler wanted the abolish the Jews. NO JOKE. It had to do with trade laws. Have fun jamming out to your low life song. If you want good bands check out another genre.

my friends said that to me too! But they're just a band to me and i like the song. It looks like he wants to worshipped by his fans or they're trying to be dark. But he did do a salute but with his fist closed so I can see how it can be seen as something else. I try not to take music videos too seriously though.
