The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams is good for a laugh or two.
If you're into mysteries, read And then there were None by Agatha Christie.
For fantasy tryThe Magic ofRecluce by L.E. Modesitt.
Heaven by V.C. Andrews is good.
The Clan of the Cave Bear is awesome too, that's by Jean M. Auel.

Surely you have an interest maybe detective stories, crime, mystery, everyday life or autobiographies. The libraries have many categories so you really need to work out what you like and then see what the library has in regards to your liking.
