I have a Dalmation liontail molly. It ate almost a quarter of a algae flake and fought off other fish. Could it be pregnant?

Fish are ravenous by nature. Will actually eat themselves to death. It is advisable to only feed them an amount that will be eaten within 2 minutes (aids in keeping tank cleaner longer) up to 2-3 times daily.

All of my Molly's eat like that. They never stop picking at algae on the glass, on plants, and they even turn up the substrate to get flakes left behind by the other fish. I'd put my money down on it being natural habit for this species. They tend to bully the other fish in the tank at feeding time too trying to get all the food for themselves.

Fish do this naturally. They are constantly looking for food. This is why the fish food containers always say "Never Overfeed." I had two fish once. One never ate and starved itself to death. The other ate all of the leftover food and eventually bloated to death. Grewsome I know, but it's a fact of fish life.

most fish try to each as much as possible when in the wild because there is no guarantee when it will get its next meal. you should only feed the fish whatever they can eat within 2-3 minutes making sure they all get to eat something.

U got to show that fish whos boss! Punch it in the face and tell it as long as it lives under your roof, it will live by your rules. That should straighten that jerk out.

Is it a female? Look at the anal fin. If it is a long tube, it is a male, if it is fan shaped, its a female. It probably was just hungry.
