It depends on what is most important to you, and you have to take the $160-$400 daily and come up with an in between number that reflects what you USUALLY make. If you almost always make closer to $160 and only occasionally make $400, it would be better financially to move. If you usually make closer to $400 daily, that's $150 DAILY to lose. And you also should consider if the new job will offer benefits that you don't have now, like med insurance, 401K, etc. And also the rate of consideration for promotion to make even more at the new job than you make here as compared to the rate of making more money here as to compared there. But in the end, it is really all about what is more important in your life, family or money. And I'm not saying you are choosing between them to make you feel bad, it depends on if you have a lot of bills and stuff where extra money would come in more handy for now and you can reconsider moving in like a year or so. Good luck!

Unfortunately, your friends are probably right because if you need to move away to be the man that you love, then there might be something wrong. Look, if you think that you and your husband can make it work, then give it a shot, but be sure that you know where your husband stands on the fact that you cheated on him. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, do anything until you find that out. You do not want to move away with your husband and then find out that he is still harboring resentments toward you. I would also suggest that you and him talk out everything, including him not respecting you, your lack of trust, the fighting and whatever he believes needs to be fixed. Don't say a few sentences and then move on, really talk it out, even if it's another fight. Remember that both of you are leaving support systems behind when you move; if things do go wrong, you both might feel a little alone so make sure that you know what you are getting into.

well, if you do the math...assuming you make 160 for 15 days, and 400 for the other 15, you make 8400 a month.

if you KNEW you were going to make 250 a day for 30 days, then you would make 7500.

so....you are basically paying 900 a month for the security of knowing you will have a consistant salary, and also to be with your family.

i grew up away from my family for 15 years, and i didn't realize what i was missing. now that i have been back for 4...i would NEVER leave! family is more than money....and you can't get more of it after it's gone like you can with money.

Let's say you make $160 every other day, and $400 every other day, that equals an average of $280 every day.

The opportunity cost of staying where you are is being with your family, and having a guaranteed salary.
The opportunity cost of moving is the $30 extra per month, which isn't "guaranteed", whatever that means.

Now, if being with your family and having a guaranteed salary (as well as rent rates, and whatever other costs of moving worked into the equation) are MORE BENEFICIAL to you than your "current" condition, move. If not, stay.

Since you are an adult you do not have to be around family. But if that is your wish and it means the world to you, than do so. It should not matter how much money you make when it comes to making this kind of decision. Family is very important. If you are not married than you can be with family if since that is your wish.

What other issues are involved besides money and family? How will your life change other than the money? Make a list of pros and cons and if you could it would be nice to give it a trial run for awhile.

The Family can help in ways that money cannot.
