My redtail shark has neon tetra disease. And I've researched it and they say that the fish get it from tubifex worms. Which I do feed my fish. Do the blood worms and other frozen food carry the parasite that causes this fatal disease?

Tubifex worms or any other foods would only be a problem if they were fresh. Frozen foods and freeze dried foods are not carriers of any disease organisms. No need to worry that any frozen food is the cause of neon tetra disease or any other parasitic infestation actually.

Don't sweat it and feed your fish! :)

The disease cycle begins when parasitic spores enter the fish after it consumes infected material, such as the bodies of dead fish or live food such as tubifex. The tubifex must be live. Frozen food is not alive. Freezing the worm, plankton, brine shrimp, etc., kills the animal and any parasites that it may have carried. You are safe in feeding your fish frozen foods.

Tubifex worms are harvested from sewage,it's where they grow. Clean worms such as blood worms come from a cleaner environment. If you really want to feed your fish worms look in to keeping live cultures of white worms(relatives of earth worms and relatively easy to culture),temperature control is the biggest problem with these guys. If your fish are large enough to eat them meal worms are pretty easy, although not as nutritious as others. There are lots of sources of live food and tubifex worms are probably the most problematic.--------PeeTee

It can be in frozen foods, but that is fairly rare. Most likely it got it from another fish. How long have you had this fish, and have you added any other fish in the last 4 weeks?
