Looking in Fopp this weekend and rows and rows of CDs I was struck (not for the first time) as to how really poor CD covers are. Back in the day there was an 'art' to the LP cover which I think has been kind of lost now.
Do you agree/disagree - and what's you favourite album cover - mentions of Dark Side of the Moon to be ignored as it's just generally accepted that that should come first anyhow!

Yes.I particulary miss the gatefold/poster covers.Jefferson Airplane did one that re-folded into a cigar box.Hawkwind did quite a few interesting covers,X in Search of Space folded out into a sword and sheild.My fav is Space Ritual,turns into a six panel poster
