he has black lines on his body and black spots on his head. he is red but near his rear he's turning pink and where his fins meet his body its pink too

That sounds like normal pigmentation variations to me. If the color change is recent, it could be simply the fish growing up or it could possibly be from a temperature change in his tank or bowl.

The black lines are rather weird. Female betta show vertical, or horizontal lines when stressed or ready to mate.

Spots are not unknown I've had bettas develop them as they age. If they are symeteric, and not raised, or a different texture than the rest of the body they are harmless.

The pink sounds like fading. Which is often a sign of poor water conditions, being cold, and/or over feeding.
