No doubt.20 years ago they would have been given a thick ear for being cheeky, they would have learnt that there was punishment for being disrespectful. They were taught respect at home and disciplined in school. Now they know no-one can touch them and they let you know that they know.
Children need discipline, look what has happened since the 'human rights' rubbish came in...society has gone downhill, people are now afraid of kids.If they are caught breaking the law..their answer is..'can't touch me I'm under age.'
If they are old enough to do the crime, they are old enough to do the time...or at least get punished.
Amy.and Lost........the teachers' hands are tied..they have no sanctions to punish any more...they have been told not to shout, even,at the kids..in case they get upset..diddums.

Yes, and it's all because the staff aren't disciplining the students in the right way. Suspensions and expulsions don't work.
The only way students will stop all of this is if they get spanked. They don't get spankings in schools anymore. That's why kids are the way they are now! It's pathetic!

Most definitely banning the use of the belt in schools and a decline in discipline has a lot to answer for :(

yep they're little terrors now. I left school 8 years ago and even then it was unheard of to be violent at school (apart from the occasional playground tussle!) i think we are way to lenient on kids today therefore they run riot. x

Unfortunately ,the governments have all but made it illegal to punish our children..,a swift kick up the bum didnt do us any harm and helped to mould who we are today
but today the kids have to much power and can almost do as they wish, knowing nothing or very little can be done about it

When i was at school the teachers said they don't care whether the kids misbehaved 'cos 'we get paid whatever happens', so maybe the kids are getting their revenge.
