Democrats usually fall into the liberal part of the spectrum.

Liberal thinking is prevalent and dominant in the universities. This leads to them coming up with theories to make the world better. The theories usually involve money as the issue. More money will let them shape the world as we want it. This is done by taxing the people.

Terrorists do not respond to money. They want to kill because they use force not money to get what they want. Liberals feel if you ingore them they will ignore you. However, this is not the case.


Then there is the president, he is just a bad leader.

I voted for him twice so I am allowed to talk about him in this way.


He looked like a good leader because he wanted to attack the terrorism problem head on. That was a good idea. However, he made this his only focus. Then when hurricane Katrina came he did a poor job of dealing with the situation. he made a few flyovers and that was it. He lost the respect of many people. Then he did nothing about immigration problems. This made more people mad. Now we have a president who people hate and all he talks about is Iraq and Iran. this is not enough for the President of the United states. Bringing America into this war with a poor stategy has been worse on the taxpayers than the democrats usually are.

The democrats are aware of this and have exploited it totheir advantage. Why pay all our money in Iraq when it is likely to fail. Why not spend the money here.

Well, you and I probably agree, WHY SPEND SO MUCH ANYWHERE!

trust me I live in California! We pass bills to pay for stem cell research. Even if the money for the stem cells finds cures, the drug companies that make the cures are not going to pay me back!

Well it depends on the democrat.
A democrat like me does not believe the word "terrorist" is an accurate description of the radical fundamentalists it attempts to label. I believe that entire language to be insulting to my intelligence.
This is the same middle eastern extreme religous para-military organization the west has been at philisophical odds with for the last 60 years.

So a democrat like me believes that while we are neutralizing violent targets militarily it is a politicians JOB to neutralize philosophy using diplomacy and open dialogue.

Conservatives who view Islamabad as sub-human are deluding themselves and perpetuating the cycle of violence.
This is not a video game where the country with the top body count wins!!!

Yet people see what they want to see which includes this delusion of being the plantation master on a big white horse who looks down his nose with contempt at these ho-hum less civilized cultures.

Democrats like myself see more than just red WHITE and blue. We aceppt this is one big collective species known as human being - and this whole splitting ourselves into teams and shooting hot lead at each other is childish and psychotic.

Regarding the taxpayer part - you say that because you have been MISINFORMED by a media that has billions of dollars to gain by you being misinformed.

This "soft on taxes" notion has to include "soft on corporate oversight" somehow the idea of infringing on a corporations rights to act in secrecy has been muddled with a citizens rights to privacy.

It's your lovely Merill Lynch, Lockheed Martin, Exxon, who reaps the tax benefits you are speaking of.

You know the companies who fund your television, newspaper, radio????

The groups who stand to benefit the most from an administration quick to spend taxpayer money on sh^t that blows up - a congress that can be bought and sold. A president that does not believe in watchdog groups or oversight committees.

And you know it's not just the Yale alumni behaving this way so that they can choke down an extra 7 to 8 million in bonuses this year - it's the collective desire of all those executives.

SO yes - this democrat would rather spend his own tax dollars on services here in this country that make these citizens more comfortable and educated - than literally setting the cash on fire and taking the lives of women and children with it - oh well establishing another generation of soldiers with a blood grudge against us all.....
