Keep her off caffine and simply sugars. Thanks a start. And I feel bad for you because you have no emtional support. You need that or you'll go out of your mind. Can't you get some kind of help. Talk with somone. This takes alot of patience to care for a person with ADHD, and if you fall apart who will take care of her? Take care of you first so you can deal with her in the proper manner. Good Luck!

I have a now 7 year old son who has ADHD, or so they say. I tried two different medications when he was 5, due to the complaining from teachers. Both made him act like another person entirely (the zombie boy). I took him off of them after 6 months of trials. I found that I cope much better having accepted my son as someone who differs from the norm. Maybe he will be someone who makes a huge contribution to the people of this world. I have embraced his individuality, and found that once he saw that I had changed my opinion of him, that his behavior changed as well. Sometimes people behave the way we expect them to. I also am very careful to schedule 'hard play' times once per day to help him get his beans out. Withdraw any negative reactions you give to your childs behavior. Its like food for the devil. Only react to positive behaviors that your child displays.

A child with ADHD can make you scream, and you feel like you're carring the world on your shoulders, in addition. Is your daughter on medication? Maybe you should talk to your MD about changing the dose or changing to another medication.

Get a doctor to perscribe her Aderall and she'll be fine as long as she takes the meds.
