Since granting them independence over two centuries ago, the yankees have turned into the most belligerent, aggressive, war mongering, politically corrupt nation in history. Clearly, granting them independence in 1776 was a big mistake. They lack moral and political leadership, and with their simplistic and naive vision of the world are, I believe, very likely to lead us into a third world war before very long. Surely, the time has come for us (i.e. the English) to withdraw their independence as they are clearly too immature as a people to be able to value or appreciate it.
I believe it is our duty as Englishmen to withold and suspend their independence, and bring them back under our control, until they can prove they are sufficiently responsible to deserve their democracy and freedoms.
Anyone share my views?

To those that support my motion, perhaps we could start by making a petition to Tony Blair in order to reclaim the so called 'land of the free' (if you are rich or corrupt or usually both). I believe recolonisation of the US is our moral duty as Englishmen, as well as our rightful heritage. Let me have your thoughts on this, and I can get the ball rolling.

Couldn't do it by force, but they should play fair - give it back and bow in submission to the Queen.

I have nothing against the Americans (or any other Nation for that matter), but exactly why would we want it back? We've ruled the World before - Time to sort our own house out and let everyone else clean their own up.
While we are on it - what's all this stuff about British people and teeth?? Mine are fine, free from dentures and fillings, straight and clean - Have I missed some big deal about teeth??
Also - those quoting history books should also check up the fact that the Americans had a lot of help in the war of Independance from at least 3 other European Countries - France, Spain and the Netherlands - Could have been a whole different story at the time if the Europeans hadn't got involved - Even the Native American Indians couldn't decide which side to fight with - so they fought with both....plus the British held 90% of Coastal territories at the time - Not bad for a little piddly Country. While I'm on my rant - Have we forgotten that with the exception of the native Americans, I would say the majority of the people in America would be able to trace their Ancestry back to one of the European Countries already mentioned and a few others too - So while the uneducated amongst our American Allies insist on putting the Brits down - you could be one, deep down...
Streakin Deacon - The Muslim issue was the American's - we joined in to help you out, not the other way around - show a bit of respect to all those that have died from both of our Countries.
Personally I am not having a go at anyone - But like all of you and your Country, It's OK for me to have a dig at my Country about how bad it is, but everyone else not from the UK can leave it alone

I think you are sorely misinformed. What you are suggesting is no difference from the invasion of Iraq. What gives any nation the right to poke their business into another nations business? Unless they are directly affecting the other nation. America has been nothing but a supportive ally of England and vice versa, you don't stab your allies in the back. In case you fail to notice, there is a reason why America is the superpower of the world. And in terms of power projection, the french and spanish have better power projection than the British, so, I guess everyone is entitled to dream. There's nothing wrong with that.

properly initially, China has a tendency no longer to leave its us of a, yet they make a tremendous variety of our stuff, so that they can provide up trading with the U. S.. Russia is extremely violent yet in a dismal age, they could eagerly deliver their entire military to Alaska this is interior of reach to them and artwork their wau down, besides the actual shown reality that they likely couldnt get the substances to make an invading stress, Iran's military is basically too small to guard themself AND attack the U. S. they could likely bribe different countries which have something antagonistic to the U. S. into the coalition mutually with Britian Italy Germany and Iraq

England wouldn't stand a chance. The US is one of, if not the most, powerful countries in the world. It is commonly considered to be the only hyperpower in the world. And, for arguments sake, let's say you're right about the wrongs America has committed-then Enlgand would be in even more trouble with the rest of the world for anyone to bother with America.
Lock up your prejudice and keep there.
PS- Check your facts before posting anything and get informed! The USA fought and fought hard for its independence and England had the seperation coming to her with what she was doing to her colonies.

OOHH...I think you might have touched some nerves with this one!!!!
I am an Englishman...not a Brit...not from the United Kingdom...an Englishman.
Americans are all sorts of nationalities mixed together and although this seems to cause all sorts of problems....hopefully Americans will come to realise in the fullness of time that this is one of their greatest strengths.
Yes America is immature as a culture...but we all were at one time.
The sense of the American people will be the saviour of its government. The people will prevail. I do not fear for my American friends. They are our cousins and I know that the likes of Bush will not be their defining symbol to the world.
Their gift will be the ordinary Americans who gave their lives in two world wars fought against tyranny, the ones who questioned the notion that people were evil if they wanted equality....and the ones who stand against their government today in despite of a loyalty that flows as surely as blood through their bodies.
God Bless America may not always sit easily upon the will of the allies tonight...But God Bless Americans always will in those of us who know our history. They can have an insubstantial government...but they will always be a people their government can only strive to match.

You granted us our independence in 1776?
You're either painfully ignorant or painfully stupid.
We defeated the British Army in 1781 after 5 years of revolution against the English Crown. It took great courage and suffering for our American ancestors to pull a victory from certain defeat.
That said, the rest of your bellicose diatribe ranks right down there with those of Osama bin Laden.
Bugger Off!!!

Come try it buddy! Our belligerent, aggressive, war mongering, politically corrupt nation will stomp your butt! When England wants teeth they like us. When England doesn't like us, we are the embarrassing adolescent brother. Just hand over the Harry Potter and and keep your pompous opinions on your side of the pond!

I definitely dont share your views, just because one administration(bush administration) makes a mistake doesnt mean that we should be punishes, most people dont agree with him anyway. The US is a very aggressive country and has and has had terrible administrations but can you imagine how beautiful and wonderful this country would be if it had an administration that actually cared about our country and fixing the world, this country has done some great things but as any country it has done bad things.
i am a pacifist but if the english even dare to disturb my country and try to invade us, i myself would join the military and fight my azz off for my country
