Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I say " Nothing Last forever" even the space our universe occupies will not last forever, it will collapse unto itself one day taking with it all the black holes, the energy the time and the matter & anti-matter.
In the aftermath of its death will bring about a dawn of a new era, the era of the next universe, or whatever replaces this space. All the laws and everything we know to exist will be gone and a random new set will be cpplied to this new space. That will be 1000s of trillions of years into the future, but that day will arrive as sure as the day of the Big Bang had arrived.

technically, everything lasts forever, it just changes form. a dead dog will decompose, but the matter that made up the dog will still be there, even if it is in a different form. same thing goes with all other matter. The only things in the universe w/o matter are antimatter and energy. Energy is like matter in that it can't be created or destroyed. Antimatter can annihilate with matter (read angels and demons?) and then the two will change form and become photons, and that's the only way that i know of that something can be destroyed.

Anything with an exact opposite will not last forever. Very few things are absolute. Life, Death, Time are just a few things that are absolutes.

Everything living has to decay sooner or later. It is just how long their atoms' subatomic decay is. An for anything untangible, love, memory, fear, etc, it will last or can last forever. But usually just very, very long. Though, you can only stop certain bad/evil things by overcoming it, but if you can't the it is a concept forever, like fear and kindness. hahahaha, funny how they go hand in hand.
Don't you think?

energy is niether created nor destroyed it only changes form so i guess it must last forever and in fact be eternal in both directions.

no, everything is prone to change. Even the laws of physics are prone to change (big bang). Just be glad it isn't boring.
