Im sick of hearing people using the OLD N word..its getting old. Seriously and they only use it online, not to anyone's face cause they are scared. Accept it, the world is filled with different races & cultures and NO one is going anywhere, so get used to it and quit the racist crap its so OLD! They want to call some races dumb when some of those races have MBA degrees & Ph.Ds ..probably more education than the racists! Why can't people accept that the world is one big melting pot filled w/ different races?

Because it isn't. Every culture is uniquely beautiful and something we should learn to cherish and appreciate for what it is. I like diversity, and I'd hate to think that the world is melting to one uniform culture.

You do have a good point about the N word though. I'm afraid that it won't fade out until it loses it's power to shock and offend (or even when used among friends as a term of endearment). I don't know though.

And you're right, racism does portray shallowness of thought; people need to think DEEP.

It does get old.The reality is that we really don't have a "melting pot". People like to claim that so they feel good by saying that but it's a load of poo. It tends more of a quilt where races and religions stay seperated. I live in Atlanta where there many different races and many of them live in their different areas. Back in the day when you actually knew your neighbors, that was a pot, but now no one knows each other and if you did live next to someone of a different race, chances are you wouldn't know them anyways. Overall it's a bad thing and a sad situation. It will eventually tear America apart like it did to Rome. It's the same scenario as South Africa where as there are many different tribes in the country and they are always fighting, and they ARE of the same race.
I used to live in a predominantly white, upper class neighborhood and I had some black neighbors that were very nice people. Actually, they always had the nicest looking yard as well. Then another black family moved into the house between us and they trashed this 900k house and left it there empty and didn't pay the morgage and never even talked to their other black neighbors. There was an education divide there. There were rappers that had no class and there were the other folks that were well educated and trying to make a better life for themselves.
You have highly educated folks in all races but their histories and manys bitterness towards the others has been handed down generation to generation. For example blacks carry bitterness towards whites because of slavery and it just carries on and on and it's never going to get better if they can't leave it behind. I'm not saying to forget it, as whites will never forget their ancestors had slaves. And not all whites are proud that their ancestors had slaves. Anyways, its history, and lets leave it that way and move on.
Then you have the religious differences which I won't go into because I don't know enough about that.

I hope I can teach you something here. Firstly: many people are proud and selfish (immigrants and non). They think their work is more important than others' work, and that they (or a group they belong to) or more important or deserving than others or other groups. It's a natural tendency. Try thinking about the successes of the melting pot. Look at the races that, after being in America for a generation or two, finally sent their kids to colleges and now have respectful positions. Look at the people who come here for the American dream, take English classes just to get by, and work for simple pleasures and a future for their children. Ever heard of cultural lag? People can't adapt that quickly to new things, but did you know that 1/3 of the U.S. is non-European but about 95-96% speak English well, or very well? 82% are native English speakers. Welcome to the melting pot. "When you come to America, you are saying you want to be an American and abide by America ways and laws. Be American then." It sounds like you are seeing things from your perspective as a proud American. If you knew no English nor American ways and were looking for a land of opportunity that is respectful of other cultures, wouldn't you expect to be allowed to practice your culture and your language if you so choose without being discriminated against? It goes both ways; and many Americans are not very understanding, and many of the immigrants aren't either. But in reality, the melting pot is a huge success.

Thank You. I agree with you. It is completely disgusting and these people definately need to get educated. Obviousally they have nothing better to do with their life than to sit on the computer and spread hate. It makes me sick.

By the Way:
Mixing Pot = Should love everyone regardless of their culture. We are a human race. People are the same just with different skin colors.
Salad Bowl= Should respect everyone and their culture. We are all different but we are still all one peice in the salad bowl. We should live together respecting each other's differences.

I prefer salad bowl, it allows for difference but still ecouragaes respect and understanding.

Because not to have someone to look down on means that the racist in question will actually have to compete on a level playing field with those of other races. And if they can't do that within their own race, they certainly don't want other races outdoing them.

Some folks rise above naturally;
... others have to push others down to feel okay.

Some people just can't handle the concept of being equal with others.
