How early were your twins when they were born, were there any complications with the birth or the babies. Did they have to stay in ICU or the hospital and if so for how long. Sorry to just throw all these questions out. I am 19 weeks along with twins. I have three older boys but they were all singletons. I have been told that it is almost guaranteed that they will come at least 5 weeks early. My husband and I are just trying to prepare ourselves. Thank you for any answers you can give.

Since these are babies number 4 and 5 for you...you have more room, you have more experience, ...i dont have twins myself...im a doula...and i meet women all the time who delivered twins around 38 weeks....they are smaller to start with ...so keeping them in as long as possible is a good idea. Dont forget, you dont have to keep a doctor who tells you scary stories!

My twins were born at 32 wks 6 days. They were 3 lbs 4 and 3 lbs 11. They were in the special care nursery for 24 days. They both had C-Paps for the first week or so, spent almost 3 weeks total in the incubators. It was a long, long 24 days, but they are healthy and doing great now. Good luck!

I was a little over my 7 month mark with my set of twins. But I had went into premature labor at 5 1/2 months before then. After my husband left to go to Iraq I went to the doctor the next week and he said that i was dilated 2 cm and I needed to take it easy. The babies weighed an estimated weight of 2 lbs barely so my dr made me eat 3 sneaker bars a day for two weeks. After two weeks I went back to see him and I was dilated 7 cm and was having contractions really bad. The next day he did an emergency c-section. The babies were 5lbs 10oz and 5 lbs 14 oz.. Guess the sneakers really worked... But during my surgery I had problems. My little girl was good to go but my little boy was in NICU for 10 days for oxygen. Everyone is different so take it easy. My cousin just delivered identical girls and she carried 39 1/2 weeks..... Take Care and Good Luck

I had twins at 37 weeks through c-section...I had no labor. They were only taken at that time because they were both breach and high risk of prolapsed cord. I was on bedrest at 5 months. Take it real easy and you may make it to 37 or more wks. My babies left the hospital with me a few days after birth, no problems except for slight jaundice which is pretty common.

My daughter had twin girls about 4 wks early (5lbs ea). They were both healthy and beautiful!! No ICU, just regular nursery for a couple of days. Congrats on the babies -- hope they are girls to even out your 3 boys. haha Just relax, everything will be just fine!
