It was a tape worm, I think I heard once that a person could get one from drinking contaminated water, because they are so small but if they hook onto your insides and start growing well....The reason it got so huge was because she couldn't feel it, anyone else would have been screaming in agony, especially when he pulled it out...*shivers*

It was a 25 foot tape worm and it was a seperate condition from the Sepa. But the tapeworm was feeding off the Vitamin B12 she was given when she was brought to the hospotal after the accident. That's what caused her legs to go numb as she fell off the railing and onto the hospital floor

It was a Tapeworm which is parasite that feeds on its host, Their eggs I believe are in stagnant water. A regular person would have had pain in the abdomen but the Sepa patient could not feel it. Tapeworms feed on B-12 hence her B12 deficiency

Lacy is right, but to add one small point. They gave the patient a dose of B-12 which would have given them some feedback into a diagnosis earlier. Since the tapeworm ate the B-12, it had no effect and therefore they didn't see the reaction they were expecting.

It was a tape worm. Her nerve degeneration (loss of sensation in her legs) was caused by B12 deficiency, which they initially ruled out since she got a B12 shot upon admittance to the hospital. However, the tapeworm absorbed the B12, so she never got the benefits of it.

A tape worm, it caused her body to be unable to sythesize nutrients. What it had to do with the disorder we'll find out on the rerun, that was the hardest show to keep up with.

It was a tape worm. Anyone else would have a pain in their stomach. She couldn't feel it, so it kept feeding off the vitamins they were giving her and growing.
