Where can I go to find a list of those "big ole' BLUE CHIP" stocks? Safer, value-oriented stocks. Is there a website somewhere? I've tried my luck with the micro/small cap stocks...and it HURTS my wallet...Baaaad! I'm ready to grow up.

Any suggestions?

If you are referring to the Dow Jones Industrials, you can find the list on Yahoo Wikipedia. Start out at Dow jones Industrials and it will be the second one on the list. I'm sure you can find the list on several websites.

For what it's worth, you are headed in the right direction. Buy the high quality stocks and be patient. Also, diversify as much as you can over the years. But I suggest that you don't confine yourself to just those 30 stocks.

You can find very high quality stocks that are Timley if you look at Value Line and Standard & Poors' Outlook at the library. Also on the internet, Morningstar.com. You can learn a lot on that website. Their "Snapshot" page will tell you how they rate your stock for growth, profitability, and financial health. I found one website called "Harry Domash's Winning Investing.com That one should be helpful too. Try MSN.com. Click money and go from there.

Good Luck !!
