This is one of those drugs that people don't take seriously enough. You --could-- probably get it without an Rx. But you ought not to. It's a very serious medication, with very real side effects including threats to the circulation system and eyesight. (since the arteries on your retina are so small). Not to mention that you could DIE mixing viagra with poppers. Not to mention priapism, liver damage, and kidney failure. But hey- otherwise, sure--- go ahead, pop them like candy.

If heart attack & death are "real bad side effects" , then yes, you should see a doctor first.
Don't be embarassed! It is commonplace for doctors and they do not judge.
See a doctor to rule out a serious medical illness as a cause for your problem.
Then, if everything is okay, you can get viagara and won't have to worry about anything.

Not anymore...they are now over-the-counter pills. I am sure they will be behind the pharmacy counter as they are being controlled in terms of the age of the user...which is over 18 and under 65. You must also cinsider what medical conditions you presently have. If you are hypertensive and taking meds for that, this pill significantly lowers your pressure, gives you a headache etc. Be careful.

You need a prescription, let's put it that way.
You know any other way to legitimately get one?
Doctors don't usually prescribe unneeded medication for people, but I have to chuckle when I say that, based upon the mountains of anti-depressants that are dispensed daily, not to mention Ritalin, which most responsbile parents know is over-prescribed.
I was in my early 50s - right about when Viagra first hit the US market - and I just explained to the doctor that I could produce an erection just fine, but that as a couple, we valued the "quality" of our sex, and I certainly wasn't 18 anymore. I wanted to sustain that high "quality."
No problem getting the prescription, but I also heard from a friend of mine who's about my age that he went to his doctor and the doctor said,"you don't need it."
I told him to find another doctor...

Yes, there are really bad side effects:
Serious cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and vascular events, including myocardial infarction, sudden cardiac death, ventricular arrhythmia, cerebrovascular hemorrhage, transient ischemic attack, hypertension, subarachnoid and intracerebral hemorrhages, and pulmonary hemorrhage have been reported.
Are those serious enough for you? That's why it is a prescription drug. If you need it, see a doctor. It's not like you're the only one. It's a popular drug.
