Personally I hate pennies, cheapos dump pennies in all the collection boxes...they ruin my purse, I give them away...but on the other hand, if they were collected in school for good causes, just think how much money could be raised...they just don't mean a lot, but they are still money and add up. I'm neither here nor there on the subject but I won't stoop to pick one up that's for sure.

Pennies are illogical.
1. They cost more money to make than they are worth.
2. Most pennies in circulation are sitting in a container at peoples homes.
3. The last time America retired a coin ( the half penny) was over 150 years ago.
4. Everything can be rounded up to the nearest 5 cents. I wouldnt mind paying up to 4 cents more for any total purchase. ( Think of gasoline that is usually priced ending in 9 tenths of a cent. Then the final purchase is rounded up)

No. Let's get rid of the 20. Who needs it?!

Of course we need the penny. How else can we make exact change?

No way! I still pick them up when I see them on the ground. Three months ago I cashed in my penny jar for 326.00 dollars.

If you mean the UK penny, no. We should bring back the farthing with the pretty wren on the coin.

Just an aside for all those who think the penny should be discontinued- feel free to send all of your unwanted, ugly, meaningless, space-taking pennies to me.

Email for details..

Carry on. Thanks!
