Not to say it doesn't happen but women seem to be less critical of men who have multiple sex partners than women. Men, on the other hand, also seem to be more critical toward women who have multiple sex partners. It is a double standard perpetuated to a great extent by women.
In today's culture anyone who has sex with multiple partners is a fool at best.

The answer is that all of those individuals you mentioned have no respect for themselves. The thing is not tell everything you do and with who, and then the thing is not to do everything with everybody, damn, leave something to the imagination. If the respect level is higher, those individuals wouldn't have to use their bodies to achieve friendship or at the least some sick demented perception of what a friendship or relationship should be. Okay and the cruel reality of the around the world and back sexual thing is, AIDS is still out there as well as many other sexually transmitted diseases. Will others respect you if you don't respect yourself, hell no, if you are going to kick yourself, you can be sure, there will be a line behind you to kick you also. The label given to females who share a lot isn't fair, but just - and as always the comparisons between men and women aren't and never will be equal.

Well, I think that a guideline for me as to being too promiscuous is that when you finally find the ONE, can you be totally honest about how many people you've slept with?? If not, then you probably slept with too many people. It's funny, because I've said a hundred times that if I were a guy, I'd be a slut. The only thing that stops me now is knowing that if I were, I would lie about it to someone I really cared about later. I have thought about this question a lot and have come to my own conclusions as to why it is more acceptable for men to be whores, in a relationship or not, than it is for women. What you see more of, you tend to accept more. Men having affairs and being whores is more common to see. In movies, media, music, just about everything. I'm NOT saying that men have more sex partners, I'm saying you see it more. It's society. Like seeing lesbians is more common than seeing homosexual men. I don't know if there is more lesbians in the world, I'm saying society lets you see lesbians more. In pornos and magazines, whatever. Like how many movies and shows are there lesbians in it?? But when brokeback mountain came out, it was such a big deal. It's because society isn't used to seeing it. There's soooo many examples of things like that, really. Like men running away from kids and family, but NOT acceptable for women to leave their families. Sorry if my answer is so wide a scope, but I kind of thought that the answer to that applied to many, many of the same "double standards". Kind of sad, yes???

Well thing is, women are insulted by being called a '$lut.' Men don't care if someone told them off for having so much sex. They'd think it was pretty odd. So if the women don't take it as an insult, maybe people will stop. I don't care what people think, if I wanna do it I will... I don't think anyone should have to care about it.

Double standards have always driven me crazy, too.
You can't let others decide for you how to live your life, though.
Wise Women do what they want to with their lives/bodies and let other peoples' opinions go.

We should start a revolution and address these 'players' as man-sluts and man-whores from now on.

Welcome to the hypocritical world in which we live. What you are describing is a product of sexism as is properly called the 'double standard."
