why must they have blu ray disc?

why dont they just keep dvds in fad! are dvds gonna go out like the vhs did?! i have a big collection of dvds and if blu ray discs take over i will seriously cry cause i'l have to rebuy the movies probly.

Yes I know how you feel but you can still play DVD's on blu-ray player as well as blu-ray disks So do not worry about re buying them all. Just need to buy the player
