Actually cath-lick doctrine says smite the woman who does not conceive. But the real Christians give the woman a chance to use science, since God expects mens to use every means to go forth and multiply. Maybe the cath-licks need to toss the little black book and use the Bible.

Depends on the reason.

If a couple cannot have children, not a sin.

If they are elderly when they marry, not a sin.

If there are serious health/financial reasons not to have children, not a sin.

If they simply don't want kids- yes, that is sinful. Why? Because in their wedding vows, they promised to receive children as a gift from God, and they don't intend to fulfill that promise. In fact, if they are capable of having children, but flat out refuse, it is an invalid marriage and grounds for an annulment.

Kind of.

A married couple should accept God's gift of children. However the couple can use natural methods of birth control to determine when and how many children they want.

Sometimes God does not bless a couple with children. This also is God's choice and the couple is not considered 'in the wrong.'

The purpose of sex is to bring a husband and wife closer and to create human life.

Catholics believe that artificial birth control is against the will of God.

With love in Christ.

well, you aren't suppossed to use birth control. so.....it seems that naturally children would come out of that.

and if they didn't....i think you are suppossed to feel sad about that.

so if you are taking birth control, you are already going against the catholic faith.

if you aren't, and you aren't pregnant and you're happy about it...i think you are a bit in the gray there...maybe you could just call yourself lucky.

but if you want kids, you aren't using BC, and you aren't pregnant and want to be...i think i would call that God's Will and you shouldn't worry about it or feeling bad.
