Well, to start off you need to be drinking adequate amounts of water (64 ounces) all the time, not just when you are singing. The water should be room temperature. Also you want to make sure that you warm-up properly. Your voice will not function correctly with out proper warm-ups. Try going through a few exercises/scales before you sing. Last, make sure you know your range. Singing too high, or too low on the register can cause your vocal cords to be strained inturn making you tired. If you want more advice try typing "voice tips" into a Yahoo search-this will give you more optons. Hope this helped.

I used to have that problem along time ago. DO NOT look up when you sing. Try drinking water at room temperature, and do lots of warm ups before you sing. Don't try to go out of range before a performance. only do that to have fun. GOOD LUCK and i hoped this helped.

You need vocal lessons where you can learn how to control your breathing. Without that training you won't get far if you can only sing one song.

Google for instructions on how to practice breathing control.

Lessonplanspage.com It appears to be vocal instruction.
