LOL!
I used to wonder that when I was a kid.
I had 2 brothers and my family use to always refer to my oldest bro as the coyote because no matter how hard he tried...he always got the chitty end of the stick.
So at about 8 years old I asked my bro the very same question you just asked and he said...............
It's not about the dinner/meal or even eating.....its personal now.

Who can resist a challenge? To dream the impossible dream. Why does Charlie Brown continue to let Lucy hold the football as he tries to kick it? It is the stuff of dreams. The prosecuting attorney who went up against Perry Mason never gave up. Why should Wile E. Coyote? Maybe someday he will have a flame broiled roadrunner with a tangy raspberry sauce for dinner.

Besides the fact that there's probebly no food places by him, there's also this:
if you have a taste for steak for example and you really really want steak but you just can't get steak for whatever reason. So instead you go to McDonalds and get a hamburger. No matter what, a hamburger isn't the same as a steak. Maybe the resteraunts (if there even are any) around Wile E. Coyote don't serve Road Runner and that's what he wants.

I heard that the town he lives in has absolutely NO eateries! Only banks! Besides, he probably gets some sort of government assistance to help pay for those Acme products. That's what I heard, anyway.

Everyone assumes that I want to eat the Roadrunner for dinner. In reality I want to have him for dinner. Sort of an inner-species crush.

I always wondered that. Maybe he's so hungry, that he just isn't thinking straight. And then, why would he go for the fastest thing in the desert? Why not an armadillo, snake, lizard???

He likes his meat fresh, the thrill of the kill. I think somewhere out there he's starving.
