Jimi Hendrix was a guitarist who died at an early age. He revolutionized the electric guitar. He was awesome, no other way to describe him. His music isn't really "head banger" music, but it's still pretty good. As far as good heavy metal artists, you will have to get that from someone else, cuz I think most of today's music pretty much sucks.

Wow. Simply put, Jimi Hendrix is the most talented guitarist who has ever lived. He died on an overdose of sleeping pills.

As far as Head banger music, Slayer, Sepultura, Iced Earth, Motorhead, Megadeth, Metallica (Pre black album), Anthrax, Pantera, and Black Sabbath with Ozzy Osborn are some essentials.
There are some newer acts but few of them have the headbanging sound you are looking for.

WHO IS JIMI HENDRIX!?!?!?! are you one of those kids who is trying to say that they are a metalhead, when they aren't? Jimi was one of the BEST guitarists in music. Dead Kennedys, System of a Down, Led Zeppelin, Slayer, AC/DC,Iggy and the Stooges, Black Sabbath, and Metallica are some of the best metal/hard core/thrash musicians around. Still can't get over your question..."who is Jimi Hendrix, and like, tell me some good metal bands"

Jimi Hendrix is one of the most influencial rock and roll musicians of all time. He brought Summer of Love psychadelia and fused it with a solid blues rock sound. Hendrix is often credited, along with Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, of bridging the gap between blues rock and what would become Heavy Metal.

That said, these are millions of rock/metal bands, and subgenres. It really depends on individual tastes and a fair bit of trial and error to find what you do or don't like.

Well, I have a particular liking for Type O Negative... they do everything from Thrasher to Doom Goth music. I especially liked their Bloody Kisses album... and World Coming Down, too.

And, this stuff might not be 'head banger' music, but Leather Strip made some good mosh music. Their Satanic Reason album is awesome!

i'm at paintings so i'm basically going to anticipate that i hate the conceal. They butchered a classic and took the soul out of it. perchance later i will truthfully pay attention to it to ascertain if i'm amazing or no longer. MA: If Jimi got here out right this moment, which no cultural reference factor of a era of folk announcing he's the final guitarist ever, i'd nonetheless relish his stuff. he nonetheless has a very unique sound that no one has been in a position to replica, and we've had 40 years to purpose. right this moment's guitar hero are technical, Jimi grew to become into uncooked emotion, he could do basically something he needed with the guitar, it grew to become into like he concept-approximately a noise a guitar could make and without attempting his theory in the previous he made the noise. i'd say that he's the main ingenious guitarist from an improvisation stand factor in rock background. there is in trouble-free terms one thank you to try this and that's to have Jimi's ideas and familiarity together with his tool. would he have a mainstream objective audience? i don't comprehend... yet you may in no way under estimate the stupidity of the mainstream objective audience.
