i think dropping key players leads to more problems than it solves. frank lampard is a fantastic player and should lead england to a lot of victories. i cannot figure out why he is completely incapable of adjusting to the national squad. maclaren should focus on finding some chemistry between lampard and gerrard then look to surround them with aggressive attacking players. i would put joe cole and shaun wright-phillips on the wings because they are both players who always push the ball forward and make solid runs off the ball. i would play lampard and gerrard in line with lampard forward but let them switch as necessary. then let them both know that they will be pulled by the twentieth minute if they do not attack the goal very aggressively. england's back four are good enough to allow their attacking players some freedom. attack or be replaced should be the new attitude.

Lampard is a great player , recently he has not performed well , but can you forget his contribution in Euro n World Cup qualifiers. may be the manager should work on making things better rather than dropping players. The comparising with Stevie G gets to my nerve, i think both r great, so if ur a good manager get the best from both , ill pick Lampard anyday over Stevie G

He should make either Lampard or Gerrard a sub. They cant play together. Mclaren should try to convince Scholes to come back. Scholes teaming up with either Gerrard or Lampard, the possibilities are endless.

No, he shouldnt drop lampard. His goalscoring speaks for itself. Its only a matter of time before he starts doing it again for england. However he shouldn't be played on the left like he was against Spain, stick gerrard out there, he's quick enough to play there.
