I have heard with Vista's first release it will have a lot of bugs. After the service pack comes out to fix those is the service pack1 free? How much (estimated) will it cost?

Yes, the service pack will be free (of course you have to have bought Vista). The service pack is just like any of the other updates, it just is a very big one. Also, I am running Vista and the "bugs" have been far overrated, mostly by people running the Beta version. Some people don't quite understand that the purpose of the Beta version is to work the bugs out.

VIsta is not Free But service packs will Be

It is the replacement for windows XP
the beta version is free till July I think but then it will stop working
Beta means test version
It cost ($250 nz dollars) which means probably about $190 us dollars maybe for the home edition.
Only the service packs will be free.

actually, the whole program is free if you take the time to download it and run the activation workaround
