In physics, buoyancy is the upward force on an object produced by the surrounding fluid (i.e., a liquid or a gas) in which it is fully or partially immersed, due to the pressure difference of the fluid between the top and bottom of the object. The net upward buoyancy force is equal to the magnitude of the weight of fluid displaced by the body. This force enables the object to float or at least to appear lighter. Buoyancy is important for many vehicles such as boats, ships, balloons, and airships.

The upward thrust exerted upon a body immersed in a fluid; it is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced. Thus a body weights less when weighed in water, the apparent loss in weight being equal to the weight of the water displaced. For accurate weighing of bodies in air, a small allowance has to be made to correct for the buoyancy of the body.

It is how well something floats. If you want a paragraph on it write about how some things are bouyant and not. Why things are more buoyant than others and what makes them buoyant. That should be just about a paragraph or more.
