I wish you had mentioned what you budget is.

On the high end, I like the Argonaut Hotel @ Fisherman's Wharf. It is a Kimpton boutique hotel with nautical themed rooms. In fact, an old fish cannery building was rehabilitated to create the hotel. During the high season, rates can go from $259 - $819; during the low season rate can range from $209 - $709 (depending on elevation). Here is a link: http://www.argonauthotel.com/

However, I have stayed at the Radisson Hotel Fisherman's Wharf many times. I find it to be comfortable and more affordable (about $139 - but I have gotten on line specials for $99 a night), given the fact that I am out and about the city and only go to the room to sleep and clean up.

there's a sparkling Courtyard that you'll ask them to get you a ocean view. For dinner: The Crab domicile on the thirty 9th street pier. impressive food, short wait situations and life like costs (with a view on the pier you requested for.) in the city, bypass to Harris' Steak domicile in case you want elderly, correct pink meat! it is outstanding, and serves a superb martini in a cool glass that sits on a 'barrel' of ice. both are impressive; one for seafood and one for pink meat.
