A new specie laid 12 eggs. then died along with other creatures. The earth shook releasing the eggs to the suns rays. Then the eggs hatched and the chicks came out and fed from the ground, A rooster and 11 hens. wild breeding until fed were called chickens, well so much for the chicken and the egg theory.

if you want to get into philosophy what the "which came first" question is about evolution vs creation. if you say the egg came first(meaning that dinosaurs layed eggs before birds evolved) then you are saying that evolution is true. if you say that the chicken was first(god created all of the animals, who then bred to lay eggs) then you are saying that creation is true
