If DEMS want a vote to debate Iraq, then they should agree to debate FUNDING the troops as well.

Are they only avoiding a funding debate because they don't have the spine to debate the war funding?

There isn't a link for this because this isn't "main stream news" yet.

I just can't understand how Democrats can try to truly "debate" Iraq and not include in that debate the question of funding the troops?

They want the advantage of being able to say that they disapprove of the war without risking the ire of the voters.

You know, I know, and the bulk of the American people know that it's a BS resolution....but it plays well in the press, and that's what they're all about.

Personally, I wished they'd get off this crap and do something...oh, I dunno...USEFUL?

Yes they are afraid and spineless, you have been listening to a bunch of republican radio i see... The democrats are trying to fix what has been full of lies and deception. They do support our troops and would support funding if they thought it was in the best interest of the troops, they are not fools that is why they are majority now after the Right messed everything up, it will be a slow process, but we will get back our country from the oil companies and lying cheating businessmen that bush is best buddies with.

Because as much as they don't like war, it scares them, and they hate the President, they know finishing the job in Iraq is the only option. It's called pandering and posturing for the constituency in preparation for the election year. It's a perfected strategy used by liberals like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, ET AL, who have no real principals or moral character.

If the Democrats are really anti-war proponents, what are they waiting for. They seem to support the war efforts of Bush.

Question asked, Question answered.
The Passivist Dems as well as the RINOS have painted themselves into a corner with this one and I'm lov'in it.
In order for their Declaration of Cowardous to have any teeth they will be forced to literally work against the very troops they claim to support. They will be finally forced to reveal that their true loyalty lies with the Anti-War, Pro- Terrorist, Cindy Sheehan groupies.

Because they know full well there are people like you out there ready to attack them as anti-troops for taking the money away.

But I would point out that they aren't the ones killing the troops,
Bush is. Though they are guilty for not stopping it.
