So I am told, but if you live long enough you could very well be blessed with arthritis in places that have never been broken.

I have about decided that breathing can cause it also.

Arthritis isn't a disease, it's a condition. It has LOTS of different causes. A broken bone is definitely one of them.

Yes, particularly if the fracture extends to the joint and the bone heals with the cartilage not quite in the right place. This can lead to osteoarthritis of that joint.
