What proof is there that can be offered to an athiest? If they don't believe then they don't believe. There are people who still believe African Americans are no better than animals because that's what they see and what they believe. And they don't accept proof of any kind that that is false. So proof can not be offered to those who aren't willing to accept it.
(This is in no way saying that people who don't believe in God are not good people or that they're racist. It was merely an example.)

If there was proof, there wouldn't be atheists. The reason most people are atheists is because of the absolute lack of proof of the existence of God, and the logical failure of any attempts that have been made at such proof. You really just need faith to believe in God, as faith defies proof or argument. The fact that faith defies logic prevents it from being something you could convince anyone of, however.

You can never "prove" that God exists. The entire point of any religion is having faith in its doctrines. Most atheists will never be totally convinced about God's existence because atheists and believers think about God in 2 different frameworks and can find no common ground. If you are a believer, I'm sure that you don't need absolute, scientific proof to believe in God. That's the point: you have FAITH. Enjoy it and don't try to "convince" anybody who doesn't share your sense of spirituality.

Perhaps a reading of Thomas Acquinas' "Apologetics" would help. Among other "proofs" he discusses design and order. Nothing that has order and design just happens. A watch doesn't randomly form, for example. In order to have a watch, a car, a light bulb, a computer, anything; there has to be an intelligence maker behind it. The Universe follows a very intricate order and design. Since nothing with order and design happens without intelligence, the universe must have an intelligent designer behind it. We call that designer, God.
In the final analysis, however, it all comes down to a matter of faith. We only need faith for those things we can't prove. So, the best you can ever do for a true atheist is to pray that they may someday see the light and know God.

A good mathematician would not use an equation as though it were fact if a proof for it did not exist. In the same way, a smart human will not say the God is a fact with no proof.

if you can produce cast iron verifiable, peer reviewed proof that god exists then you will have a convert here and i expect most atheist would as they operate on proof and not faith. some of the answers so far display the ignorance and the malicious ideas that some people have about atheism, their disbelief is based on the fact that there is no more compelling evidence for god/gods than there is for Santa clause. whether I'd be happy with him or willing to grovel before him is another matter though

I can't tell if it's about faith...
Some atheists take the Bible so seriously that you must presume they think those are actual God's words. What more is there to say...
Others just deny and wouldn't believe no mater what, but those ones are rare, and you can't do anything about it...
Some, just, don't believe because they won't believe - about them there is no reason to think anything.
But, why would you even try to provide proofs about faith? The whole point of faith is that it's left unproven, isn't it?

Well as another answerer so elequently (and ignorantly) demonstrated, some cannot be convinced. I think the best way to convince someone is through the way you live your life. Unfortunately God is like the wind. Do you see it? No. But do you see it's effects? Most Definately. It is not easy to convince an athiest, but it can and has been done. My friends dad was an athiest, but after watching my friend and his Mom (the man's wife) he did in fact come to believe. Other than that there is the complexity of the world around us and those in it? Is it really easier to belive it just "happened" than to believe there is an all powerful creator? Good luck, God bless, and good question!

It all depends on the definition of God.
If God is according to Christianity, I think we are past that. I don't want to ruin your hopes, but I believe that scientists have already proved on how Earth and everything on it was created.
So, you'd have to disprove that to an atheist. Good luck with that.

The most practical suggestion I have is for the individual to read the book "Another Thought" by OC Tross. All the answers you need relating to the atheists are found in this book.
