Well first off, I'm thirteen years old and have had my period since I was eleven almost twevle. My period was regular for a while up until about 3 mouths ago, I have been getting my period for longer and closer together. And now I am late compared to my new? cycle by 2 week? I am very nervous! Should I go to my doctor about it? And also I am to nervous to talk to my mom about it and to shedule an appointment just for this, so should I just shedule an appointment for something else and during it ask about this? I also havent been stressed, havent lost/gained weight, or haven't been doing excess exercising. I am fit and I dont know what could be wrong! Any advice besides answering the question? Thanks in advance!

Sweetie, even though you had a normal, regular cycle when you started getting your periods, it is something that changes all the time throughout your life.
These changes are normal, and there is no need for worry or for a doctors appointment.
This is however, just my opinion, and if you want to seek a medical opinion, just to put your mind completely at rest, there is no reason why you shouldn't.
Relax!

Get over this fear of talking to your mom about your period. If there's one thing we women all over the world have in common, it's problems with periods. A doctor might prescribe something to make your periods more regular and then for sure your mom would need to know, so let her in on your situation now. Yes, see a doctor. That's what they are in business for.

Don't be afraid to talk to your mom and let her know that you are having some problems with your period and she can make an appointment for you. You should be able to tell your mom anything. That is what mom's are for. If you go to the doctor ask that your mom go in with you.

I am sure you'll be fine. I am thirteen too & mine were regular but now I havent gotten it. But i know that until your like 16, they may be VERY irregular & if you went to the doctors they would probably just tell you the same. if you havent done anything sexual then you're fine. i can understand that you'r nervous to talk to your mom but if you have a mom that you think you could slightly talk to, do it [its okay, I KNOW I COULDNT WITH MY MOM] lol.
best of luck..

If ur a vigin then dont worry about telling your mom its a good idea to tell her because there could be something rele wrong with you....
If its been happening for almost 3 months then i would just say to her mom i'm having problems with my period and i need to go to the doctor im sure she will understand...
Sincerely,
Nina :-)

talk to your mom, she might have had the same things that happened to her. Next time you go to your doctor maybe ask them.

During the teens, your cycles are irregular.
As long as you didn't do an essay (there's a joke involved), you're fine.
Otherwise, if you had sex, you're double screwed.
