Ok..ladies only plaese...
I am in my 20's and have one child. I am NOT, I repaet NOt sexually active..and haven't been for yrs. (my duaghter is 6). But, lately, I've noticed a milxy/snotty type discharge. It is there after i go to the batroom(wipe) and occasionally It leaksand shows on panties. There is nop pain...and I have ben tested in the past for STD's(due to rape). I thought it may be a yeast infection..althoguh I have never had one and ahve no idea what it looks like. but, i have been taking an antibiotic for pink eye the last 2 days...and i kinda thought if it was a yeasy infection, the antibiotic would help this to. Anyways..this isn't a normal period discharge, and ther is no way I am pregnant. But i ahve had this for 2 moinths now...any ideas?

If you are taking antibiotics, that can cause a yeast infection. But if you have had the discharge for over 2 months, then it is not from the antibiotics. You may have developed a yeast infection on top of the discharge.
If it is just recently starting to show up, you may want to check with your doctor. It could be a urinary tract infection, or just something normal. I know that some women just have more discharge...I personally discharge while ovulating, and it is completely normal.
I would check with your doctor to be sure. Never assume that it is nothing, better to be safe then sorry!

There can be two common causes of a milky/white discharge. It could be natural mucous discharge that we all have during/around ovulation - mine becomes quite copious at these times and very noticeable, and it has increased over the years.
With your follow-up post, you mentioned some itching. I think that it could also be Bacterial Vaginitis, which is caused by a PH imbalance in the vagina. If it is bacterial vaginitis, you will notice a slightly 'fishy' odor, whereas regular ovulatory discharge shouldn't have a noticeable smell.
Bacterial Vaginitis requires a quick trip to the gyno for prescription antibiotics (and I would recommend live-culture yogurt while you take them to keep the yeast away), while ovulatory mucous is just a fact of life and you may have to wear a panty liner during these days.
Hope this helps.

To solve your discharge first try Monistat (they have one, three and seven day) from the drug store and if it does not solve it, you need to go to the doc for antibiotics for a bacterial yeast infection.
Also make sure you do not have Toxic Shock Syndrome. Like maybe you forgot a tampon that can cause a bacterial infection. Most odors are caused by bacteria.
And yes, antibiotics can increase the chance of yeast infections.
Sorry, but I am a single dad with daughters.

Feels like you're ovulating, that's that you're on your most fertile days (for conceiving a little one). Commonly it comes after your interval and also you get plenty of white or obvious mucousy discharge. If it's extra like watery that can also be common, your body does this to scrub out your body from the inside. You should simplest fear if the discharge you've is yellow and if it is fairly stinky in a bad means.

Most antibiotics cause yeast infections. It may be a uterine infection. They often are caused by taking baths (which are bad for women because they allow dirty water to enter the vagina), or by not wearing the right type of panties. I would speak with your OBGYN to get tested for any infections.

i read on webmd that whitish discharge is normal for a woman, even a little bit on a daily basis. if there are no other symptoms and its not hurting anywhere and its not green or yellow or theres blood, i wouldnt be too worried. doesnt sound like any std i know of, and ive researched them all. just be grateful about no itching bc that would be a different story.

Might be bacterial vaginosis - its common if you are taking antibiotics. The cure is a different antibiotic. You should see a doctor.

Please see your OB/GN. This is something that can be very simply diagnosed by the doctor and would help put your mind at east. Yeast infection is a possibility but still, see your doctor.
