Think about it, what is the definition of piercing. If you have your ears done you should know the answer to your own question. But if you like them and have the body for it, I say put up with the pain and go for it.

Its a sharp needle being forced through your flesh, yes you are going to feel something. All piercings hurt, but to what extent is a different story.
How bad it hurts is very subjective because everyone is different. As a professional piercer, I do about 10 of these a day, most often girls just flinch and tell me that it stung a bit. Very few people cry. Its not that bad and if you go to a skilled piercer, the pain will be very limited and very tolerable. If it was really that bad, no one would probably do it, except for the insane.
The main thing is that afterward you need to be careful and take good care of your piercing to avoid infections and other complications.

Not really. I got mine done a month ago, and it barely hurt getting it done. I took my best friend with me for support, and she said she was holding my hand tighter then I was holding hers. You feel a pressure and a pinch, then its over. Try not to look down while they are doing it. Talk to someone. I didn't even feel the clamp. My friend asked if the clamp they used to hold the skin hurt, and I asked "What Clamp?"
I will tell you that the first week or so you will be achey. Your skin has to relax and adjust to the piercing,and you have to get used to bending and twisting again.
After it starts to heal and you get used to it, it don't hurt a lick unless you snag it (like on a bath net) then it only hurts a second. Its not as bad as people think it hurt. Not at all

i think a little but ists not as bad as atongue just think of that pain compared to navel piercing

yes - but there are a lot of other things that hurt worse

i dont have it done but my friend does and she said she was really really nervous cuz they us a freaky needle that HUGE but she was so freaked out && didn't evn notice it was over when it was! lol
