get a long stick with a string tied to the end. Wrap a twist tie around the end of the string and perform a prememptive strike by dangling this device over the cats rear. Torment.
Warning. This may cause the cat to eat its own paws.

Sit cross legged on a chair or tap him on the nose when he attacks you. Animals don't like having their noses touched. Don't spray it with water! That works with dogs not cats.

Get a piece of paper and teach him to fetch. He needs to play for his health. Pull a string around and let him catch it sometimes. In other words, divert his attention away from your feet by playing with him.

For a laugh, put a piece of tape on the bottom of one (or more) of his foot and watch him. Just be sure it's not a really sticky kind that might hurt to remove. Usually though, they just get it off themselves.

Play with him, he wants your attention and love! And I like how the other person said to kiss the top of his pretty head.

get a spray bottle of water, and spray it once on your cat. The next time that your cat sees the bottle he would go away.
