Is my tooth loose?

Sometimes when I touch one of my teeth with my tongue it feels like it moves but when I look in the mirror it doesn't look like it moves. I went to the dentist a month ago to have my teeth cleaned and they also took xrays and didn't say anything about my teeth being loose.

Dentist usually checks the gums with a pick instrument to see how deep the pockets of the gums are.

The tongue is softer than the tooth and it may "feel" loose, but I doubt it. If it really bothers you, call your dentist.
