I can't even tell in my bathroom anymore. The paint is peeling from my dad's smoke.

Well, don't pitty yourself much...Dad will not quit...
You can surely do something about it...
If you like White Color, which is Old Fashion to me, just get some Non-Yellowing Superior Emulsion Paint which will resist Light, humidity, smoke and other oxidants...
I advise you to select it with a SILK FINISH, not a high Gloss or a Flat / Matt Finish....Semi-Gloss sounds OK sometimes...
Water-Based Alkyd Enamels will also do instead of Emulsions...
I advise you to select Grades of Peach or Pink Color...I usually have each wall with a different color...Grades of it though...
Light Pink, medium Pink, Slightly Deep Pink and Deep Pink...
It will look very nice...not only on bathrooms, but all over...
Try it you may like it..
You can select Green, Yellow and others of Happy Colors...
Don't stick to one only....It looks boring...
White Color...Make it for the ceiling only...

I washed my walls and bought bathroom paint (It's more water resistant and doesn't crack and peel)
I painted mine a very light aqua / teal colour on 2 walls, and the rest I painted lavender. (My tiles have sea green sea horses on them) so it matched beautifully.

Upstrairs bathroom is a really light green, and the other one has white/beige tiles.
