Perhaps you should spend more time in school learning to spell rather than worrying about piercings.

I'm pretty sure you have to be 16 with a parents consent or 18 without. And you can't just bring in a note, they have to actually be there with you. And for the record, I had my tounge pierced and did not get any infection or talk with a lisp afterward. Of course it hurt to talk at all for a day or two, but once it healed everything was perfectly fine.

It has nothing to do with orientation, true some do it for giving another girl pleasure like guys do, but i know alot of straight girls with tongue piercings...a piercing or tattoo cannot show if someone is gay or not.

first of all..why are you gettin your tongue pierce at 14 years old??? Most people will look at you and think you got it for a dirty reason when your at such a young age...i think you should wait at least until your 16-17 years old or hopefully older...but then again its your choice and your parent's decision also...warning tho: it can chip your teeths cause you bad breath and stains on your tongue if you don't take care of it and if the piercer do one wrong move, he don't ruin your tongue and nerves and vein lines...but to answer your question....each state has different laws on piercings and tattoos...some states require you to be 16 with parents consent to pierce certain areas, some can pierce certain areas as long as you have parents consent. Start calling around your area and ask them questions and when you do go...look and make sure everything they use on you is new and sterile and clean. Good Luck..hopefully you will wait at least until your 16-17 or older.

typos out the ***. ugh. stupid people shouldn't be allowed to ask stupid questions...
why would you want a tongue piercing in the first place? i'm positive that no professional would do it- with or without a parent- if you were 14.

tongue piercing is the most dangerous piercing you can have done. There is a main artery down the middle of your tongue.
Make sure your parents are aware you are getting this done and only go to a licensed salon.

Nope. You're too young, you'll have to travel over the border to Canada or just wait.

no way. unless you had a fake ID. or find a place that doesn't care - BUT, you probably can't trust them if they would look the other way for a 14 year old.
