One was digital ept test that reads out pregnant or not pregnant. The 4 +or- test came back positive. The digital says not pregnant. What gives? Anyone know why this could be?

You need to go to the doctor and take a blood test. The digital test could very easily have been a false negative, since you took four other tests that showed a positive. The +/- tests might be able to detect the hormones better, so if you are very recently pregnant, the test sensitivity could affect your results. Go to the doctor, it's the best way to know for sure.

99% of the time that you have a test come back positive-you ARE pregnant. It is really unusual to have a false positive than a false negative. As far as the digital-I don't know I have only used the other. Contact your doctor and see for sure! good luck!

Get your doctor to do a blood test, its more accurate. It is possible to get a false negative but not a false positive.

There is a hormone that is present in your urine and blood only when you are pregnant. This hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) (also called the pregnancy hormone) is what all pregnancy tests detect.

If on the day you took the test your hCG was low, the tester might have missed it and thats why you would get the negative response.

You are most likely pregnant!! the digital ones need higher levels of the hcg hormone to register a positive, so if you had more than one positive with the other kind of test!! I say you are Pregnant!! CONGRATULATIONS and BEST WISHES TO YOU!!

Digital tests require more hCG (pregnancy hormone) than regular home pregnancy tests. The regular tests are more sensitive.

The digitals tests are not good...Go by the +/- ones...they are far more reliable.... check out www.peeonastick.com they give you a list of HPT's on the market and there ratings...Good Luck and Congrats~

i bet you used all your concentrated pee on the 4 tests that measure the hgc hormone, the hormone that is only produced when you are pregnant. go to the doctor and get a blood test. it will tell you without a doubt, but im sure your pregnant. good luck!

Because they were 2 very different tests, one might not have been able to read your hcg hormone yet, as it might be too early to show up.

Otherwise, I don't know.

Wait a few more days and re-test to be sure....then see your doc.
Goodluck!
